The ExpHand is a 3D printed prosthetic that is adjustable and so it grows with a child as they do, meaning it has a much longer useful lifetime than current products. It is designed for children between the ages of 3 and 10 years old though children slightly older or younger may still be suitable. Currently, the ExpHand is only suitable for those with below-elbow limb loss but we're looking to expand our range to accommodate other types of limb loss.
By using 3D printing to manufacture the prosthetics, they can be made in lots of fun colour combinations, so they become an extension of your child's personality, not just a medical device. ExpHand manufactures all their prosthetics in-house, so they can provide the children with high-quality products that don't break the bank.
The ExpHand can be assembled and fitted at home without needing to see a doctor or a prosthetist. Set the length and adjust the straps then you're ready to go; it's that simple!
